How do I make a gift?
Beginning October 12, visit givingday.americanbar.org to make your online donation in support of one or more of the featured projects. If you would like to make a gift to more than one project, you will need to repeat the donation process for each project you wish to support.
How do I support more than one program?
You will need to repeat the donation process for each project you wish to support. Please note that your credit card may be declined if you make multiple gifts on the same day. Credit card processors may see it as a possible fraudulent charge.
To simplify the process, please call 312-988-5927 to make your gift over the phone. Your donation will be added to the website for recognition purposes and applied to the fundraising goal.
Where will my gift go?
Every dollar that you give will support the project or entity you select on givingday.americanbar.org. All associated processing fees are covered by the FJE. You may elect to add 5% to your donation at checkout to help the FJE cover the credit card fees.
Why can't I find a certain project?
Some ABA entities have more than one program addressing issues affecting our communities. Although we could not feature every worthy program, nearly all programs are featured on ABA Giving Day to raise awareness that the Association is a powerful force for change and is a place to invest charitable support. This increased knowledge helps all entities when seeking outside donations. Join us on ABA Giving Day and amplify the voice of the ABA!
Is my ABA Giving Day contribution tax-deductible?
Yes, gifts to the FJE are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. After making a donation, you will receive an email confirmation that serves as your receipt for tax purposes. Please consult your tax adviser if you have questions.
Can I make my gift another time?
Of course! There are many ways to make your donation now and in the future. You can donate by mail, sign up for monthly giving, double your donation through a company matching gift program, issue an IRA distribution, request a grant via your donor-advised fund, or add the ABA Fund for Justice and Education to your estate plan.
